"Ne khoronite menya bez Ivana" ("Don't Bury Me Without Ivan") was the second full-length work of director Lyubov Borisova. The film was shot in the summer of 2021 in the Tattinsky District. The film is based on real events that took place in Yakutia in 1910. The story revolves around Stepan, who periodically falls into a lethargic sleep, and only the priest's son, Ivan Popov, can distinguish his condition from actual death. Stepan decides to follow Ivan on a long expedition so as not to be buried alive.
The film crew recreated this story from photographs, archival documents, and accounts from the descendants of the Popov family. The film received a special jury prize at the film festival of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries in India and became the winner of the Zimny Open Auteur Film Festival in Moscow. It was awarded a special diploma by the jury for "Preservation of National Traditions" at the Eurasia International Film Festival in Kazakhstan.
