"What the forest is silent about" is the fairy tale trilogy written by Tatyana Filatova. The book tells the stories of pre-Christian times, when fields and rivers were inhabited by spirits. The detailed description of nature is inspired and based on the forests on the northern side of Staromaynsky bay of the Volga River in the Ulyanovsk region.
The trilogy was published by the Moscow publishing house “Formaslov” in 2022. "The Unknown", being the first part of the trilogy, is published in the "New Writers" anthology. The collection includes the best works of writers – participants of the Forum of Young Writers from Russia, the CIS and Abroad, held annually in the Moscow region. The second tale of the trilogy won in the "Prose" nomination of the "Belskiye prostory" magazine. The third story also won in the "Prose" nomination of the All-Russian competition "Stylisty Dobra".
