Pereulok is a clothing brand created by teenagers in 2020. The philosophy of the brand is to not forget about what's important in life - the home ground, ecological problems. The brand has its own clothing production. Every item of the brand is a declaration. For instance, the image of a gentle Volga river is a call to preserve the environment. The image of Vladimir Lenin as Ulyanovsk native is an example of how a powerful idea can change the rules of life of an entire country.
The main attractions and symbols of Ulyanovsk are printed on tees and hoodies. The brand also manufactures corsets, which can be found not only in Ulyanovsk, but also at the SLAVA designer clothing store in St. Petersburg on Nevsky Prospekt. In 2022, Pereulok participated at the "Intourmarket" international exhibition in Moscow.
Original design clothing. The brand presents a wide range of bright and memorable collections of women's and children's clothes. The "Meridian" collection can be described as modern and light, discrete and vibrant, weightless and deep. It also includes a variety of accessories. All buttons are handmade, all with different colors and patterns.
"People of the Sun", a children's collection, is based on free cut and volume: dropped shoulders, wide neckline, flared sleeves and trapeze silhouettes. In the "Stars" collection, 80% of the fabrics are painted by hand. This collection was presented on the catwalk of the Ulyanovsk Fashion Week in 2019.
Cars and photography are Alexander's two main passions. So it came as no surprise when Alexander's work entered the "Top 3 Best Shots" at "Cars 2021" contest, and he himself entered the "Top 3 Best Photographers" of the "35AWARDS" Annual Photography Award. For instance, he was trying to nail that Mercedes-Benz shot for years. Until in August 2021, at the International Festival of Vintage Cars in Kazan, waking up at six in the morning following a rainy night, he finally did it. It was this very shot that got him the "35AWARDS" contest award.
Alexander also makes professional macro shots. Random bugs, in the eyes of the photographer, are a true work of art. He also received his well-deserved award for the shots of the stag beetle and the bird at the same festival. He uses Soviet wide-angle lens Mir-1V for his macro shots.
Travel photographer. So far, he's visited 12 countries. Shoots portrait, street and travel photography. Hosted and participated in more than 11 photo exhibitions, contests and classes. He also wrote a coffee table book called "From Seattle to Los Angeles". In 2019, the “Arca FreeDom” art space hosted a travelling photography exhibition entitled “To the Four Winds”. It featured 300 photographs , including works from New York, the Dominican Republic, the United Kingdom and other countries. At the exhibition, the authors told the stories of each shots, sharing tips for travelling on a budget.
For Alexander, travelling is about taking on a world of new things and enjoying the beauty of the world around him. As for his style of photography, he prefers to place a subject in the center of the frame while composing his shots. Cinema, music, books and works of other photographers is what inspires him. Saul Leiter is his favorite photographer. Alexander likes to shoot street photography, catch random moments and passers-by on camera, does narrative photography.
Alexey Kitov is a versatile photographer: wedding, advertising, studio, family, reporting - he is successful in every genre of photography. He did some international projects in such countries as Spain, Italy, Greece, Georgia, Turkey.
Alexey's works won the “Ilyich Lamp” contest in the “Best Advertising Photography” nomination. Alexey Kitov entered the top 100 wedding photographers of Russia, according to mywed.com. He also ranks the first on the list of wedding photographers in Ulyanovsk, according to gorko.ru. Alexey's works are listed among the best photographs of the "35AWARDS" contest.
Alexey is a real travel addict. He is obsessed with travelling to the most beautiful places in the world to photograph them. He shoots landscape, travel and reportage photography. He also shoots adventure photography, capturing his experience during traveling. But his favorite genre is landscape photography, because it lets him capture any given moment in time and place on film. Alexey is a prize-winner of the National Geographic Russia contests. He is among the top 35 photographers in the "Landscape - Night" nominations and among the top 300 photographers of Russia according to the 6th 35AWARDS contest. His photos have been published by the BBC News Russian, UK Daily Mail, various Russian media outlets and books, including travel guides and calendars.
Yuri mostly shoots narrative, portrait and editorial photography. He also does advertising and product photography, photojournalism, individual photo shoots and event photography. He takes inspiration from paintings of different historical periods. He also borrows quite a lot of concepts from movies and TV series. Yuri is not a fan of static shots - he prefers the dynamics in his photographs.
Besides shooting portraits of beautiful women and doing photojournalism, he also practices street photography. In July 2022, his "Notes of a Madman" work entered the top 23 best photos in the "Emotional Portrait" selection of the "35AWARDS" Contest. Yuri is also among the top 100 photographers in the world according to the "35AWARDS" Annual Photography Contest.
Ulyanovsk is always colorful, bright and beautiful on postcards made by Julia. Light watercolors, cozy colors and recognizable locations are among the main distinctive features of these postcards. The houses with the unique atmosphere, which lies in details: shabby walls, plat bands, old boards, rooftops with antennas and wires, shades and tints, brickwork or plaster - is the main subject of her works.
Julia preserves the buildings, and with them the history of her hometown. She attracts attention of the youth to the problem of preserving the historical architectural heritage in the region. The artist's postcards are filled with love for her hometown and its identity.
