Barbara Grey is a band, founded in 2020, with the release of the first song "Ustala" ("Tired"). Varvara Usova is the band leader and songwriter. It all started with her playing the guitar and singing along. There are now 4 band members. The band plays in the genre of acoustic pop. In a very brief time of its existence, Barbara Grey managed to play live at various high-level events, including Long Night of Museums event, "My Fest" annual festival, a concert at the international art residence of creative industries. The band participated in the project called "Music on the streets of the city of U", played live on the main stage of the city during the celebration of Youth Day.
Their songs were repeatedly featured in various streaming services' playlists: "Alternative" on Yandex Music, "Second Shift", "Indie in Russian" on Apple Music. The song "Novyie Imena" ("New Names") was streamed more than 43,000 times on VK streaming service, according to Zvonko Group, the russian digital distributor. In 2022, the song "Muzyka ne dlya tantsev" ("Music Not for Dancing") was broadcasted by Priozersk FM (107.2). More than 1000 videos were shot on TikTok, using the song.
Boulevard is a unique interregional gastronomic open air - a festival of food and music in the Ulyanovsk region. It is traditionally held on the first Sunday of summer. The program includes various types of outdoor activities: 10 plus hours of music - live concerts, including cover bands from across Russia, a selections of street-food stands suitable for a large family picnic, entertainment venues for guests of all ages, massive photo spots and recreation areas.
The festival has been held since 2019. Boulevard won the Grand Prix in the nomination "Tourist event in the field of gastronomic tourism" of "Russian Event Awards" 2021. It took the 3rd place in the finals of the All-Russian Tourism Award "Events of Russia 2019" in the nomination "Culture. Gastronomic events". It is ranked in the 50 best events of 2022 according to the National Calendar of Events of Russia. And here's a little magic of numbers: in 2022, the festival was attended by more than 22,000 people.
