Barbara Grey is a band, founded in 2020, with the release of the first song "Ustala" ("Tired"). Varvara Usova is the band leader and songwriter. It all started with her playing the guitar and singing along. There are now 4 band members. The band plays in the genre of acoustic pop. In a very brief time of its existence, Barbara Grey managed to play live at various high-level events, including Long Night of Museums event, "My Fest" annual festival, a concert at the international art residence of creative industries. The band participated in the project called "Music on the streets of the city of U", played live on the main stage of the city during the celebration of Youth Day.
Their songs were repeatedly featured in various streaming services' playlists: "Alternative" on Yandex Music, "Second Shift", "Indie in Russian" on Apple Music. The song "Novyie Imena" ("New Names") was streamed more than 43,000 times on VK streaming service, according to Zvonko Group, the russian digital distributor.
